Cappy’s Pizzeria is a local chain pizzeria located in the Winthrop Town Center. They’re known for the Deep Dish Pizza. The decor of the restaurant looks slightly nostalgic, with old plates and antiques around. The service was attentive and good. They even bought a credit card machine over so our check out experience is much quicker. The pizza here is good. The Greek Salad was offered to us at the beginning, and everyone liked the dressing on it. The New York style pizza was good, but the real specialty is the Deep Dish Pizza. Everything about the deep dish was very good: is soft on the inside and hard on the outside. Overall, would recommend this place for Chicago Style Pizza.
Best pizza in town and it's not close. We go here a couple times a month and get the same thing every time. The staff knows our order before we sit down and I'd be more embarrassed about that if it weren't so good. Simple, NY or Chicago style pizza with a sauce that slaps harder than Will Smith. A killer local place with a NY pizzeria feel. And it's really hard to feed a family of four on forty bucks anymore. Getting in and out with leftover pizza under budget feels nice.

The exterior of the building was a clean, modern brick facade with decking on the upper levels giving it a bit of a European / New Orleans feel. The interior was full of classic agricultural and automotive signs from yesteryear and was well-lit. To start our meal, we ordered a large Greek Salad (see picture) to share and we were not disappointed - it was delicious! We ordered 3 pizzas to share (see pictures) - 2 NY Customs and a NY Cappy. We enjoy thinner crusts and found all of these options to be very good - wood-fired edges with plenty of sauce and toppings. 1st visit. Came because we saw an article online saying they were the best pizzeria in Tampa. The article did not lie. The Greek salad was delicious and the pizza was fresh, made to order, served hot and delicious. Everyone was super friendly and professional. Even the sweet tea was delicious. We will definitely return soon.
Great pizza experience that has a fantastic atmosphere. Beverages were ice cold, pizza crust was crunchy and the toppings were high quality and flavorful. Garlic bread sticks were served with marinara in a tear away fashion that was enjoyable. More than enough for two people with left overs for the next day. Just as good cold, and reheated as it was fresh!
Delicious Chicago style pizza! I didn’t know we had that quality of Chicago Deep Dish here! Also ... I’m not much of a salad guy ... but the Greek salad was off the charts! Rich, tasty, hearty ... it almost felt like it had meat as a main ingredient (if that makes any sense!) ... You get the picture!
Had this pizza for the first time and I have to say it was so delicious. I'm from New York so for me really good Pizza is hard to find in Florida
